FREESWELL®

Water blocking tapes made from a mono-layered, non woven carrier, a swellable layer of water blocking powder, and a water-soluble binder. This way, the superabsorbent material is free to swell and move extremely quickly into the cable void spaces. These water blocking tapes are available in non-conductive and semi-conductive versions. |
YARN

Water blocking yarn made from raw materials similar to those used in tape manufacturing. They consist on a carrier fibre which supports the swellable component and assists the 'wetting' properties. No ingredient in powder is used in y construction. With the exception of the smallest types, separate strength components are incorporated into the yarn to ensure consistent tensile properties. |
